The basis of Katrix’s machines is a novel, patented mechanism. The compact, integrated and robust mechanism prescribes a unique motion, which results in superior and powerful positive displacement fluid processing that breaks through the limitations of current technologies such as piston, scroll, vane, screw and micro-turbines.

Katrix technology can be applied to a vast array of products and markets, but will initially focus on clean energy generation in the 1 to 50kW power range. Motor and turbine expanders are the key component of many micro power generation systems and as such the company seeks Application Development Partners to develop and commercialise superior systems enabled through the adoption of Katrix fluid motors.

Katrix’s lead products, its fluid motors, like turbines are devices that generate power from the expansion of suitable working fluids such as compressed air, pressurized water, steam, refrigerants, organic fluids and other fluids. Its products will be known for their economy, versatility, and efficient energy generation or utilization. We believe our fluid motors will significantly contribute to the global uptake of innovative, clean, renewable, distributed energy solutions in the 1 to 50kW range.
